2003 Artist of the Year, Dorothy Starbuck
In 2003, Dorothy Starbuck was named Walton County’s first “Artist of the Year.” Her works of art display her exceptional talent in painting and preserving the images of Florida’s diverse, unique natural features including; sand dunes, lakes, marshlands, mangroves, forests and more.
Starbuck has won several awards including Best in Show at the Everglades Artist’s Annual Fine Art Show and has had her work displayed in several art exhibitions throughout the state of Florida. Her work has also been featured in the Florida State Capital building and in the permanent collection of the U.S. Air Force. For information, call 850-231-1579
Dorothy’s paintings have been features in Florida State Capital in Tallahassee, at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, DC, in the permanent collection of the US Air Force, and in various Florida art museums.
