Beaches of South Walton is located in Northwest Florida, between Destin and Panama City Beach . The area encompasses 26-miles of coastline and 14 beach communities-anchored by Miramar Beach on the west and Inlet Beach on the east.
Geography
Located in north Florida and anchored to the north by the Choctawhatchee Bay and to the south by the Gulf of Mexico , Beaches of South Walton includes a diverse landscape in which 40 percent of the area is protected under state lands. The area is home to a variety of diverse ecological communities including beach dunes, mesic flatwoods, scrub, depression marshes, coastal dune lakes and estuarine marshes. Sugar white sand beaches and emerald green waters make the area popular for vacationers.
