show more >Setting standards as the first New Urbanism community, Seaside’s clusters of tin-roofed, pastel-painted, and picket-fenced cottages were inspired by a master-planned Gulf Coast design. The design was based on other historic Florida communities and has won multiple awards and accolades for its innovative look. Seaside’s pastel homes and white picket fences became iconic after The Truman Show was filmed there.
