Bridges Pool House

Designed by noted architect Thomas Christ, the Bridges Pool House adjoins Camp Creek Lake and is connected to the lake's dock by tree-lined boardwalks perfect for evening strolls to the water's edge. Moving away from the lake, the boardwalks follow a sinuous path to the Gulf of Mexico. On the other side, the pool house is faced by a large open park where folks can toss around a ball or Frisbee — perfect for year-round fun.
Along with restrooms, showers and changing rooms, the pool complex features a fully equipped kitchen, indoor gathering spot with fireplace, and plenty of comfy poolside chaise lounges. The Pool House design blends well with the coastal landscape and pines of the Camp Creek Lake habitat. Its shingled roof and cedar shake walls evoke memories of traditional seaside cottage architecture and the large French doors of the pool complex mirror those typical of coastal homes throughout the east coast and New England States. Crisp white trellises and paned glass windows frame this tranquil setting.
The pool itself is a rectangular design with mid-point coves housing steps down into 1,700 square feet of cool sparkling water. Surrounded by an expansive deck with attractively planted palms, trees, and shrubs the new Bridges Pool House is a stunning addition to the community's amenities.
Pedestrian Bridges

WaterSound Beach is conceived in harmony with its spectacular setting — a natural place where every path leads to the sea. These pathways and pedestrian bridges will link the various neighborhoods of WaterSound Beach and allow for the appreciation of protected wetlands and conservation areas. In addition, there are a series of engaging trails for beach carts which are being designed specifically for WaterSound Beach. These wooden pathways gently meander through the natural openings and contours of the dunescape for access to the white sandy beach and emerald green waters of the Gulf.
Nature

WaterSound Beach truly is one of the most beautiful coastal areas of Northwest Florida, and indeed the entire United States. At WaterSound Beach, several different ecosystems overlap to provide a rich and varied landscape. Remarkably, a coastal dune lake complete with water lilies and a combination of fresh and salt water fish comes within a few feet of and even at times touches the brilliant blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Many homes situated on bluffs, enjoy views of both Camp Creek Lake and the Gulf. White sand dunes dotted with sea oats commingle with the wetland edge of the lake in an exceptional integration of ecosystems.
Because WaterSound Beach occupies such a unique ecological niche, special care was taken in its design to preserve as much of the existing vegetation and wildlife habitat as possible.
Golf: Camp Creek

Located just off of Northwest Florida's Scenic Highway 30A, just west of Panama City Beach, there is a water and sand experience of a different sort at the Tom Fazio-designed Camp Creek Golf Club. This private golf course is master-planned for 36 holes, the first 18 of which opened for play in May 2001 along with a driving range, golf shop, and snack bar.
Tom Fazio has received many honors during his thirty-some-year career (forty if you count the years apprenticing to Uncle George), but among those honors he values most are the ones he gained from his peers and the individuals who maintain golf courses.
For the three years Golf Digest polled golf course architects to name the "Best Modern Day Golf Course Architect," Fazio's peers chose him. Also highly regarded by the American Association of Golf Course Superintendents, he is one of only three architects to receive their highly cherished "Old Tom Morris Award."
