Topsail Hill Preserve is a secluded beach area in Santa Rosa Beach -- spanning over three miles of beaches, sand dunes, lakes, plant and animal life, wetlands and more.

Topsail State Park offers swimming, bicycling, rollerblading, fishing, nature hiking, bird-watching, and picnicking. Explore the famous Topsail Hill dune, which stands nearly 25 feet above sea level. Topsail Hill preserve is home to an array of animal life, including the endangered Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse.

Tour the wild plant communities, which encompass beach dunes and pine flatwoods. Other unique areas include the coastal dune lakes, wet prairies, and maritime hammocks.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park also offers both freshwater fishing in numerous lakes and saltwater fishing in the gulf.

Topsail Hill Preserve Lodging

Overnight accommodations are available at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park -- including full facility, cabin, and RV camping. All bungalows are fully furnished and have a carport, full kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom, living room, and utility room. Some bungalows boast screened-in porches and a den. The maximum occupancy for all bungalows is four people. The swimming pool, laundry facility, clubhouse, and country store are easily accessible.

For visitors interested in bringing their RVs, Topsail Hills RV hookups include sewer, water, electric, and cable. Heated swimming pool, shuffleboard and tennis courts, and beach access point are easily accessible from the RV campground.

The admission fee is $3.00 per vehicle and $2.00 for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicle passengers.

Location

Topsail Hill State Preserve is located in Santa Rosa Beach on Scenic 30A, approximately 10 miles east of Destin, Florida. Take Interstate 10 to Exit 85 (DeFuniak Springs) and follow U.S. Highway 331 South. Travel 27 miles to U.S. Highway 98. Turn right and travel approximately five miles west to Scenic 30A. Turn left and go ¼ mile to the entrance on the right.
